Know About the Temporary Skilled Visas in This Case

A temporary skilled visa allows individuals with specific skills and expertise to work in Australia for a limited period. It’s designed to address the skills shortage in certain industries and boost the country’s economy. They are as follows:

Skilled Visa Australia

Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489)

The subclass 489 visa is a temporary visa designed for skilled workers who want to live and work in regional Australia. This visa is ideal for those who possess a certain set of skills that are in demand in regional areas, as it provides them with the opportunity to work in their chosen field while living in a regional community. This visa provides three different pathways:

  • Invited Pathway

  • Extended Stay Pathway

  • Subsequent Entry Pathway

Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494)

The visa in question provides regional employers with the ability to sponsor skilled workers in circumstances where no suitable Australian worker is available for the job. This is particularly useful in addressing labour shortages in regional areas, where employers may struggle to find workers with the necessary skills and experience. By sponsoring overseas workers, regional employers can fill the gaps in their workforce and ensure that their business can continue to grow and thrive.
